Caribbean Poker Protocols and Tricks

Online poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, stretches back in reality a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years several variations on the original poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to 21 than old guard poker, in that the players wager against the casino instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no concealment or different types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the dealer saying "No more wagers." At that moment, both you and the house and of course every one of the different gamblers acquire five cards. After you have observed your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you need to in turn make a call bet or surrender. The call wager’s value is equal to your beginning bet, which means that the risks will have doubled. Abandoning means that your wager goes directly to the house. After the wager comes the showdown. If the dealer does not have ace/king or better, your wager is given back, plus an amount in accordance with the initial bet. If the casino does have ace/king or better, you win if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The bank pays cash equal to your initial bet and set odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
