Web poker has become globally famous recently, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back quite a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years many variations on the first poker game have been developed, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers wager against the dealer rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is no concealment or different types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up prior to the croupier saying "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the bank and of course all of the different players receive 5 cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the bank’s initial card, you must either make a call bet or accede. The call bet’s value is equal to your original bet, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Surrendering means that your ante goes directly to the bank. After the wager is the face off. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, including an amount on par with the ante. If the house does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The bank pays cash equal to your bet and set odds on your call bet. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- two to one for two pairs
- three to one for 3 of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
