Annie Duke might not have captured her 1st WSOP Bracelet until two thousand and four but she remains one of the most feared poker players around the ring games at The Bellagio in Sin City. Annie’s long-awaited World Series of Poker bracelet came with success at the "forgotten game" of Omaha Hi-Lo.
While competitors from the "young crowd" of poker run wild following a huge success at the tables, Annie goes home to be "mum" to her 4 children. She hails from NH and was raised into a family of card players. If you do not believe that, watch her sibling, Howard Lederer, when he plays, Howard taught Annie how to compete in the game.
However, Annie Duke is no small fry kind of girl and has captured her cut of hard tables, including eliminating Howard a few times on numerous occasions.
Earning well over 3 million dollars in tournament action, Annie branched out to become a consultant to both UltimateBet.com and actor Ben Affleck, who wanted to develop his techniques to become a big player in poker.
You may glimpse her at the Bellagio, you will catch her on TV and you might just even play with her in an internet poker game, but do not count on an easy win.
